This is backwards but I don't have time to do it again. In the first picture I am checking for leaks in a tub I have been installing for the last month...NO LEAKS
The following pictures Trish,Bridget and I went to the Exibit at FM .It looks like we had more fun taking pictures of each other
Now for some bookeepping
Thursdays assingment
"Now we see through a glass darkly ,then later face to face"
Crosses
Western Cross:The Protestant cross is plain without the corpus attached. It does not deny the suffering of the cross but focuses the mind on Christs Resurrection and is found mostly in Protestant churches. When the cross includes the corpus it is usually referred to as a crucifix and emphasizes Christ's suffering and sacrifice which gives meaning and sense to His Resurrection
Patriarchal Cross: most popular in Russian and Eastern Orthodox . The top bar represents the plaque containing the inscription by Pontius Pilot "INRI; Jesus the Nazarean King of the Jews".The lower slanting bar symbolizes a balance scale .The good thief St. Dismas having accepted Christ would ascend to Heaven and be at God's right hand, while the thief who mocked Jesus would descend to Hell.In this interpretation Christ and the Cross is a balance of justice

I love that picture with Trish and Bridget. Very cool and I'm glad you guys had fun:) Thursday assignment is crosses then?
Oh that must be confusing. I put the two biblical themes together inadvertently..The part about the crosses is the end of the post from March 4 as a way of description of the different styles of crosses .
You probably recognize the quote as from Corinthians. I didn't intend it to be specific but interpreting it to be about crosses would be cool anyhow.
Read the whole quote on Google
Glad your tub has no leaks! :-)
Was that a self-portrait?
I liked the photo of me with Bridget, too...and especially happy that the camera covered my face! :-)
Very nice lesson on the cross which I am interested in. Interesting choice of assignment for Thursday too.
