This is what I am going to do. The moon rose last night around 6pm and it was already very dark,if you used a long lens you would need a long exposure, therefor you would get a blur. The moon sets about 12 hrs latet in the morning. It should set Sunday morning about around dawn when it can be taken with a faster speed . Do this while the moon is still high with a long lens then with lower magnification using the double exposure option move down to the horizon..On the other hand if you are up at dawn you will have all sorts of lighting and lens options.

Can you remind us how to shoot the moon? I remember there is a special technique to it...but that's all I remember!
