Fonda Fair

Looks like a mule and a little girl who likes her cow

I really wanted to see an Ox .Richard's girlfriend ,Sophie( she is in a lot of the previous pictures) raised 6 pair of Oxen between the ages 7 and 18 for 4H..An Ox is a steer which has been trained ..They can keep their horns because they are so managable, also to keep the yoke from slipping off

A funny story Sophie told me was ,she was age 7 and she was walking behind the pair holding the reins ..The pair got spooked and started running back to the barn..Her father told her to ,never ,never let go if they started running otherwise they would do it forever..She got dragged through the garden and the cornfield but didn't let go ..They never ran again

They look so peaceful laying down; however, they frighten me. It is soothing to learn how trainable they are. I've always thought of cows/oxen as unpredictable.

I really like the picture of the girl and her cow. Brings back memories of growing up on a farm. All the pictures are very nice.

Love the little girl and her cow. Ahhh, to be young again and bond with an animal. Not that I'd choose a cow over say a dog, but to each their own!

Great shots. My favorite is the girl and her cow, too. Gotta love the bond between a child and her pet.
